Wedding photo opportunities you can't miss at Eastwood Park

Choosing a wedding photographer is near the top of many couples’ checklist, but have you also considered the photo opportunities at your venue?
We encourage all our couples to look beyond the classic brochure shots and think about what other options there are here at Eastwood Park – suitable rain or shine – that will provide you with a truly stunning set of photographs to treasure forever.
You might want to come up a mixture of locations before the wedding day itself, some that are suitable for your larger group photos and for those smaller, more intimate shots. When it comes to these 'couple-only' shots, perhaps think about a location away from the rest of your guests so you can relax and enjoy a moment together without feeling awkward in front of the camera as everyone else looks on. On the flip side, group photos need to have enough space to accommodate everyone, and so they can be seen!
It’s also useful to think about locations ahead of time so that you know where you are headed on the day and what you want to get out of it – a good wedding photographer will work with you on this.
At Eastwood Park there are a whole range of options, both indoors and out, that we love to see featuring in your photos! Here are a some of our favourite...
The Terrace
With ivy climbing the walls, our house and surrounding terrace makes for a stunning backdrop for your wedding photographs at all times of the year.
And with our superb views, you shouldn’t miss a picture or two overlooking the Berkeley Vale and rolling hills. The steps down to the lower Terrace are the perfect location for your group photos, as guests are able to be staggered so they can all be seen. The beautiful scenery can be so romantic for those intimate photographs too.
Clock Tower
Another popular location is our stunning clock tower. Whether it’s a romantic Bride and Groom or pre-ceremony shot in our courtyard, it captures strikingly different moments.
Stained glass window
How could anyone resist including this in their special day? What a backdrop our stained-glass window makes as you make your way down your ceremony! Fun fact: the shapes featured in the window design inspired our logo with its three circles!
Rose Walk
An Eastwood Park classic, take a stroll down our avenue of trees as a newly married couple and your photographer is sure to get some gorgeous shots. Perfect for taking some time away from the hustle and bustle of the day too!
Front of the house
The statement shot! Be sure to get a photo in front our house before the day is out as a lasting memory of your venue in years to come. Popular for the married couple, the house also makes a good background for pre-wedding groomsmen photos and big arrivals.
Pond
Often overlooked as a location, our pond sits in a peaceful part of our grounds and is a lovely, natural wedding setting for intimate photographs away from the watchful eyes of your guests, allowing you to relax and be yourselves! It looks especially beautiful as the sun goes down, with the evening light reflecting off the water.
Drawing room
For the days when the weather isn’t on your side, the drawing room can be transformed for your photoshoot. With floor to ceiling windows overlooking the Berkeley Vale, there’s no need to worry about missing out on the view!
Wrought-iron gates
A more unusual photo opportunity, our wrought-iron EP gates – make an interesting and backdrop, bringing a classical country house vibe to your photos!
