Thursday 23rd May brought one lucky couple the prize of a lifetime. The day had come to invite all shortlisted couples to spend an evening at Eastwood Park meeting the other prize suppliers and showing them what we have to offer at our stunning country estate.

While we were all excited to know who the winner was, there could only be one! Knowing this, all couples received goodie bags with lots of freebies, discounts and vouchers from ourselves and other prize suppliers so that everyone won something that evening.

After an hour or so of sipping Prosecco and enjoying delicious canapés while soaking up the views from the terrace, it was time to reveal the winners. John Thatcher, our CEO, took the stand and thanked the Bristol Post including Nettie & Brenda who had helped organise the competition. You could definitely feel the tension building in the room as John continued – it was getting closer to the moment everyone was waiting for.

Then, Martyn Phelps and Jessica Osborne were announced as the prize winners, who both instantly turned their heads to look at each other in complete shock. A lot of crying, smiling and laughing ensued while being handed a bouquet of flowers and a bottle of bubbly. After this, Bristol Post sat with them to write an article about their love story and winning the competition. You can read this article in the recent copy of Bristol Post.

Jessica and Martyn were still shocked when we caught up with them later. “We haven’t planned anything” they said, “we didn’t think we’d stand a chance of winning – we’ve got a lot of work to do!”.

Congratulations Jess and Martyn, we can’t wait to see you in September!
