This week at Eastwood Park we have had Sophia join us for work experience to see what working life is like. Her week has been packed with introductions to all different departments in the company. For part of her time with marketing, we thought we’d have her write a blog about the experience.
My name is Sophia and I’m visiting Eastwood Park for work experience. I’m in year 10 and go to school in Bristol. I’ve come here to get an insight of working life and to get an idea of what I want to do in the future.
I have done a site tour, spent time in the print room where course notes are produced and in the marketing department. I’ll also spend time in work-based learning, on a training course, with training operations and finance.
In the short time I’ve been here I have enjoyed it a lot and learnt how to do many new things. I’ve found marketing most interesting as I’ve been learning about all the different aspects of it. Taking photos of the garden and learning to edit them after was entertaining.
The tour round Eastwood Park was also great as the gardens are filled with vibrant flowers and are really beautiful.
I’m looking forward to sitting in on a training course as everyone says they are interesting.
I look forward to the rest of my time here.
As the week comes to an end, we hope Sophia has thoroughly enjoyed her week with us and has a better idea of what working life is like!
