Visit Eastwood Park at Healthcare Ireland | Apr 08

Eastwood Park, renowned for its expert medical equipment and facilities training will be exhibiting at Healthcare Ireland in April on Stand No:321.

With its international reputation for expert training in the healthcare sector, Eastwood Park recognises the importance of being present in Ireland to demonstrate the wide range of specialist courses the centre is able to offer.

Commented John Thatcher, CEO and Director of Training at Eastwood Park: “We fully appreciate the responsibilities of keeping up with the latest healthcare sector guidelines and the need to refresh existing approaches to training.  We will have our new training calendar available on our stand, which includes an additional 35 new courses this year, and our training consultants will be available to discuss visitors’ specific requirements.”

Eastwood Park offers wide-ranging courses from Decontamination and Infection Control, Medical Gas and Biomedical specialist equipment training to Fire Safety, Lift Maintenance and Estate and Facilities Management training plus many more.  Courses can be run on-site at customers’ premises or at Eastwood Park in Gloucestershire.  Fully equipped training facilities are available, including several training labs enabling delegates to work on equipment in a safe and controlled environment that would be impossible in an operational environment.   

A variety of learning methods are used at Eastwood Park, with more courses adopting a blended learning approach combining practical hands on training with online and distance learning options.  An example of this is the new Foundation Degree in Medical Technologies (medical equipment; medical gas technology and medical device decontamination), which is a two-year work-based programme.

With all courses mapped against the NHS Knowledge and Skills Framework and relevant NVQ’s, plus close ties with relevant professional bodies and associations, Eastwood Park ensures it delivers relevant and appropriate learning options.
