Two new faces at Eastwood Park | Nov 07

Eastwood Park is delighted to introduce two new Training Managers who have recently joined to further extend and develop the national training centre’s range of portfolios.

Sue Peckham is now Training Manager (Decontamination) and Steve Dickson Training Manager (Engineering and Facilities).

Sue’s focus will be decontamination, an area that is continually under the spotlight and one where continual training and the latest sterilisation techniques are vital.  Sue began her career in nursing and was one of the first Nurse Endoscopists, working in a fast track diagnostic clinic for colorectal cancer.  She is a recognised expert in her field and has presented many national and international papers.  Sue has also been a Clinical Education Specialist at STERIS and was responsible for running their operator training programs.  She helped develop new education programs - in line with HTM standards - for operators of the latest decontamination equipment.    After some time in medical sales, Sue returns to a training role and her hands on clinical knowledge and experience will compliment the existing knowledge base of trainers at Eastwood Park .

Steve began his training role at Devon and Cornwall Police, where the focus was predominately IT, but also taught using the Lion Intoxilyzer (breath test/drink driving).  He moved on to become a Director in the South West Training company – Excellence through Training (ETT), where he gained invaluable experience in the healthcare field.  Steve is now responsible for quality assurance and portfolio development and will be managing the bio-medical, medical gas, lifts and HVAC (heating, ventilation, air conditioning) and energy management portfolios.

John Thatcher, Director of Training and CEO at Eastwood Park , is delighted with the strengths both Sue and Steve will bring to the management team:

Eastwood Park is moving forward with new technologies and the latest training portfolios, including a clear focus on energy management and placing a high priority on decontamination training.  With the skills that both Sue and Steve offer they compliment well the engineering and microbiological expertise already in place.”

Eastwood Park has a worldwide reputation for delivering courses to the highest standard and with the highest level of facilities.  For further information on the latest courses available including the latest Energy Management Course, the Foundation Degree in Medical Technologies plus the new decontamination courses including an introduction to Gas Plasma Sterilisation and Human Waste Washer Disinfectors visit eastwoodpark.co.uk or contact +44(0)1454 262 777 or email: training@eastwoodpark.co.uk.
