WTM2 - Automated endoscope reprocessors - quarterly testing

Prerequisite to attending the course
Candidates should have the baseline knowledge from WTM1 before attending this course.

Accreditation
The course is accredited by the City & Guilds of London Institute.

Who will benefit?
National Health Service staff or contractors required to perform the duties of a Test Person/ Competent Person (CP) as defined in HTM Guidance.

Aim
To provide delegates with the necessary skills and knowledge to carry out the recommended daily, weekly and quarterly testing procedures of endoscope washer disinfectors in accordance with HTM 01-01/HTM2010 and BS/EN 285, and to obtain the City & Guilds of London Institute certificate 2295-06.

Objectives
Delegates will acquire the skills and knowledge to:
  • Carry out periodic testing
  • Complete test records and correctly interpret the results
  • Calibrate and use appropriate test equipment
  • Develop an understanding of endoscopes and their uses

What next?
On completion of this course the delegate will have gained the knowledge, skills and certification necessary to carry out periodic testing on endoscope washer disinfectors to quarterly level. The successful completion of this WTM2 course is a prerequisite for attending the WTM3:
