Who will benefit?
Authorised Persons who have previously attended ‘Medical gas pipeline systems courses for Authorised Persons’ and who now require updating on current guidance and best practice.

Aim
The course is designed to update the practicing Authorised Person’s knowledge of current guidance on medical gas pipeline systems.

Objectives
Delegates will acquire the skills and knowledge to:
  • Perform all engineering tests on a medical gas pipeline system as required to fulfill their role
  • Define and perform all engineering tests relevant to the commissioning and refurbishing of medical gas pipeline systems
  • Manage a ‘Permit to Work’ system for medical gas pipeline systems by performing all duties of an Authorised Person as defined in HTM 02
  • Describe and apply all relevant safety procedures when working on medical gas pipeline systems and identify potentially hazardous practices and situations
  • Assess their medical gas pipeline systems for compliance with current standards
  • Contribute to the writing/updating of a current policy

What next?
It is recommended this refresher course should be taken at 3 year intervals.
