 with most successful year ever

| Aug 09

This year sees one of the country’s internationally renowned training centres – Eastwood Park - celebrates 40 years of delivering specialist healthcare, engineering and facilities management training across both the public and private sectors.    Significantly, it has also been marked by the business achieving one of its most successful years in its history, delivering a wider selection of courses and career development opportunities to more delegates than ever before.

A former NHS training and conference centre, Eastwood Park in Falfield, Gloucestershire is today privately owned and has seen significant growth in the technical training provision it offers.  The team delivers a wide portfolio of courses and career development opportunities across many industry sectors, while continuing to be a leading training provider to the NHS.

It is proud of its continued close relationship with the healthcare sector and of the innovative approach to improved learning and development.  John Thatcher, Director of Training and CEO at Eastwood Park commented:  “Our goal has always been to keep learning fresh, invigorating and relevant.  We continue to work closely with internationally recognised Professional and Awarding Bodies such as City & Guilds; EdExcel (BTEC); IHEEM; IPEM; IDSc and many other industry sector leaders.  We are continuously striving, alongside our colleagues in each sector, to develop staff competencies and new approaches to learning in order to develop the most relevant qualifications and career pathways.”

“It is vital that each industry - and in particular the healthcare sector - view training holistically, as it needs industry leaders to drive a cohesive and structured training programme with clear continuity and career development.  The onus is on us working with influential industry leaders to create learning opportunities and qualifications that are consistent, relevant and flexible.  These can then be delivered through blended learning and based on National Occupational Standards fit for today’s growing professions.”

The secluded yet convenient location of Eastwood Park in Gloucestershire – just off the M5/M4 – creates an effective learning environment while offering some of the most extensive specialist technical facilities in the country on the private 200-acre estate.  Fully-equipped decontamination training laboratories and workshops plus the latest sluice room facilities; the only fully operational medical gas pipeline systems in the country specifically set up for training purposes; a fully functional 3-storey lift shaft with viewing platforms, as well as extensive classrooms and lecture rooms allow delegates the use of specialist training facilities second to none in the UK.  Eastwood Park will also deliver training on clients’ premises.  For more information on the courses and facilities at Eastwood Park visit www.eastwoodpark.co.uk or call 01454 262777.
