Instrument Washer disinfector operator course | WDO

Who will benefit?
Operators of washer-disinfectors. These will include SSD staff etc. and any other person who is responsible for the operation of an instrument washer-disinfector.

Aim
To enable delegates to meet their responsibilities as operators* of washer-disinfectors
*Operator as defined in HTM 2030.

Objectives
Delegates will acquire the skills and knowledge to:

• Define their role and responsibilities as recommended in HTM 2030
• Explain the periodic testing requirements of washer-disinfectors as recommended in HTM 2030
• Carry out automatic control test and cleaning efficacy test for residual soil   
• Complete test records accurately and precisely
• Explain the principle of how a washer-disinfector works and how to load it properly.
• Understand the decontamination process

Accreditation
The course is accredited by the City & Guilds of London Institute.

Other information
Practical exercises form an important part of this course, enabling delegates to fulfil their role. Equipment must be provided by the client to accomplish this, if delivered on-site.
