Endoscope Washer disinfector operator course | ENDO

Who will benefit?
Operators of endoscope washer-disinfectors. These may include nursing staff etc. and any other person who is responsible for the operation of an endoscope washer-disinfector.

Aim
This course will enable delegates to meet their responsibilities as operators* of an endoscope washer-disinfector.
Practical exercises form an important part of this course, enabling delegates to fulfil their role in full. Equipment will be provided by the client to accomplish this.
* Operator as defined in HTM 2030.

Objectives
Delegates will acquire the skills and knowledge to:
- Describe their role and responsibilities as recommended in HTM 2030
- Explain the periodic testing requirements of endoscope washer – disinfectors as recommended in HTM 2030.
- Carry out daily checks on endoscope washer – disinfectors as recommended in HTM 2030.
- Carry out the automatic control test and the cleaning efficacy test for residual soil.
- Explain the principle of how an endoscope washer-disinfector works and how to load it correctly.
Accreditation
The course is accredited by the City & Guilds of London Institute.
