Business Open Day a big success...

Many different businesses attended Eastwood Park’s
business open day recently. The sun shone and
visitors were able to enjoy the 200-acre estate and
see the South Gloucestershire meetings and conference
venue at its best.  Many were “hands on” with the team
building experiences that were on display, with
everything from falconry, archery and chocolate making
to riding the challenging timed segways course, to
name just a few.

The event raised several hundreds of pounds towards
the Great Western Air Ambulance charity, as Eastwood
Park donated £5 for each company that attended.  The
charity needs to raise £1m a year to maintain and fly
the rescue helicopter and its crew.

Visitors were able to explore inside the air ambulance,
which fortunately was able to stay at the event all day,
without being called away to any emergencies. Paul
Weir, CEO of the Great Western Air Ambulance charity
spoke on the importance of team working and also
introduced the audience to one of the first young men
to be saved when he was knocked down outside his
school two years ago, Andy Bryce.

Peter Jordan, General Manager, Eastwood Park was
delighted with the day: “We were fortunate the
weather was at it’s best and all the outdoor events
attracted a great deal of attention.  Many visitors
stayed to enjoy the barbecue to conclude the event.”
